Tectonic Shard
A Tectonic Shard is a special item dropped by the Luxtructosaurus used to craft powerful items.
Obtaining
Mob loot
Tectonic Shards can only be obtained from slaying the infamous Luxtructosaurus, which will drop 7-11 after disintegrating into dust. The maximum drop is increased by 1 per level of Looting, with a maximum of 14 Tectonic Shards with Looting III.
Usage
Tectonic Shards can be crafted into the Extinction Spear or Tremorzilla Egg or can be used to change the appearance of certain mobs to a new eruption look.

Changing mobs
Using an Tectonic Shard on either a Subterranodon, Vallumraptor, Grottoceratops, Tremorsaurus, Relicheirus, Atlatitan, or Tremorzilla will cause the targeted mob to change to a new eruption appearance. The Tectonic Shard will be consumed upon use.
If a Tectonic Shard is used on an already eruption-skinned mob, it will revert it back to its original colors. Reverting a mob's skin back will still consume the Tectonic Shard.
