Occult Gem
An Occult Gem is a mysterious item needed to craft many magical items and blocks.
Obtaining
Mob loot
Watchers are the only mob to drop 0-1 Occult Gems upon death. The maximum drop is increased by 1 per level of Looting, with a maximum of 4 Occult Gems with Looting III.
Barrel loot
Occult Gems are rarely found inside of loot barrels in Forlorn Huts.

Beholder Binding

Interacting with a Beholder while holding an Occult Gem will bind the gem to the Beholder. The Occult Gem will gain an enchanted glint, and will display the coordinates of the Beholder it's bound to in its item tooltip. Bound Occult Gems can always be bound to other Beholders, but they can only be unbound by destroying the Beholder they are linked to.
Right-clicking while holding a bound Occult Gem will cause the player to begin seeing through the eye of the linked Beholder, no matter where they are in the world. Note that this can only be done as long as the player is in the same dimension as the bound Beholder.
