Occult Gem
An Occult Gem is a mysterious item needed in the crafting recipes of many powerfully magical items and mystical blocks. It is also the only item capable of being binded and used with a Beholder.
Obtaining
Mob loot
Watchers are the only mob to drop 0-1 Occult Gems upon death. The maximum drop is increased by 1 per level of Looting, with a maximum of 4 Occult Gems with Looting III.

Binding to beholder
Interacting with a Beholder while having an Occult Gem in hand will bind the gem to the Beholder. The Occult Gem will gain an enchanted glint, and will display the coordinates of the Beholder it's linked to in its item tooltip. Occult Gems can always switch between which Beholder they can bind to, but will need to have their bound Beholder block destroyed to become unbound again.
Possessing

Holding a bound Occult Gem and using it will cause its user to begin seeing through the eye of the linked Beholder, no matter where they are in the world as long as they are in the same dimension as it.
