Totem of Possession
The Totem of Possession is an ominous, magical weapon capable of binding to and controlling the behaviors of nearby creatures. It seems to strongly resemble the appearance of a Gloomoth.

Usage
Binding mobs
Unlike a Holocoder which binds to mobs by interaction, the Totem of Possession needs to be held by a player and used to damage a mob which isn't a boss mob or isn't a Warden, Atlatitan, Hullbreaker, or Tremorzilla for it to bind to the hurt creature. Once bound, the Totem of Possession will have its eyes and wings glow a scarlet red, and will show the type of mob bound in its tooltip. The Totem of Possession can easily switch between which mob it binds to, but cannot return to being unbound unless the linked mob dies or despawns.
A Totem of Possession will deal 3 damage to enemies when used to attack, and has an attack speed of 1.6 (equating to a cooldown of 0.6 seconds per attack).
Controlling mobs
When a Totem of Possession is bound to a mob, holding down right-click while having it in hand and aiming at a position less than 32 blocks away from yourself will cause the linked mob to attempt to pathfind to your targeted position as long as you have direct line of sight with it. The totem will begin glowing a bright shining red and slow the user's movement speed down to a sneaking speed when controlling the behavior of a mob. The bound creature will also begin emitting red dust particles to show it's being controlled by a totem.
When either a neutral mob or hostile mob is controlled by a Totem of Possession to be 3 blocks or less from another mob, it will begin targeting and attacking it unless a hardcoded behavior is stopping it from doing so. If the possessed mob kills an enemy, it will count as a kill for the player who was controlling the possessed mob. If the possessed mob dies to an enemy, the attacked enemy will retaliate against the player who was controlling the possessed mob.
The Totem of Possession will lose 1 durability every 0.1 seconds while a mob is being controlled. Unlike most other items, the Totem of Possession will not fully break once reaching 0 durability, but rather become unusable until it is repaired.
Enchantments
All weapons and tools added by Alex's Caves have unique enchantments that exclusively only apply for them. Unlike regular enchantments, these ones by default (without changing config settings) do not increase the pool of enchantments you can receive from any loot tables, and instead can only be obtained from enchanting the exclusive item they apply to in an Enchanting Table.
The Totem of Possession has 4 exclusive enchantments.
Detonating Death
Rare enchantment that causes possessed mob to explode upon death. This explosion emits unique red explosion particles, deals damage and knockback nearby entities except for the controller of the possessed mob, and does not destroy any blocks. Does not have any higher levels besides I. Incompatible with Astral Transferring Enchantment.
Rapid Possession
Common enchantment that increases speed of mobs when being possessed with Totem of Possession, with bigger increase of speed per level. Has levels I-III.
Sightless
Rare enchantment that removes the need of direct line of sight from player controlling a mob. Controlled mob will also be given a red outline that can be seen through blocks similar to the outline given from Glowing effect. Does not have any higher levels besides I.
Astral Transferring
Rare enchantment that allows Totem of Possession to swap controlled mob with another when the possessed mob when it is used to attack. The totem will swap mobs if the target has more health than the mob currently possessed and if the target isn't a boss mob or isn't a Warden, Atlatitan, Hullbreaker, or Tremorzilla. Does not have any higher levels besides I. Incompatible with Detonating Death Enchantment.
