Hazmat Armor Set
The Hazmat Armor Set is an armor set primarily worn to negate being inflicted with Irradiated or to be able to safely traverse through Acid. The set consists of the Hazmat Mask, Hazmat Chestplate, Hazmat Leggings, and Hazmat Boots.

All pieces of the Hazmat Armor Set may also be repaired on an anvil by using a Polymer Plate or another of the matching piece. Grindstones may also be used in place of anvils, but armor pieces will only be able to be repaired with another matching armor piece.
Chest loot
Toxic Ruins occasionally generating within the Toxic Caves have loot chests all with 0.84% chances to contain a Hazmat Mask, Hazmat Chestplate, Hazmat Leggings, or Hazmat Boots.
Usage
Due to the Hazmat Armor Set having an entirely different model compared to regular armor, it cannot be trimmed with a smithing template.
Protection values
The Hazmat Armor Set will only grant 2 (
) less defense than the iron armor set, but will grant more armor toughness.

Special properties
Irradiated
When having any piece of Hazmat Armor equipped and while inflicted with an Irradiated debuff that is potent enough for you to take damage from, each piece will negate 0.25
× 0.125 damage received from the Irradiated effect along with the natural protection against it by the gained defense points. This bonus will stack for each armor piece equipped, with you receiving complete immunity from all damage by the Irradiated effect if all four pieces of the armor set are worn.
Acid
If the Hazmat Armor Set is worn inside Acid, it's durability will not be rapidly depleted from its corrosiveness, but rather from the damage taken from it. This has the adverse side effect of when not all four pieces of the set are worn, then you will take health-depleting damage from the acid unlike if you were to wear any other piece of armor. Thankfully, each piece of Hazmat armor worn inside acid will negate 0.25 × 0.125 damage taken from it, and this bonus can stack until all damage is completely negated from acid with all four armor pieces equipped.
Radioactive items
If all four pieces of the Hazmat Armor Set are equipped, any items inside your inventory that can inflict you with the Irradiated effect after some time will never cause you to become irradiated.
