Marine Snow
Marine Snow is an item that can be produced by Sea Pigs upon feeding them clay balls, mud, or Muck.
Obtaining
Sea Pigs
Interacting with a Sea Pig with your use button while holding either clay balls, mud, or Muck will cause you to feed them the held item. Upon doing so, it will have an 83.3% chance to produce 1-2 Marine Snow in return.
Chest loot
Abyssal Ruins occasionally generating within the Abyssal Chasm have loot chests with a 5.4% chance to contain Marine Snow.
Usage
Using Marine Snow in any way will cause it to be consumed.
Reviving coral
If a dead coral, dead coral block, or dead coral fan is waterlogged or adjacent to any block of water or other waterlogged block, it can be revived to its alive counterpart when interacted with Marine Snow.
Growing mussels
If a Mussel is waterlogged or adjacent to any source of water or waterlogged block, it can be interacted with Marine Snow to grow an extra mussel on the same block. Up to five mussels can be grown on the same block.
Duplicating new blocks
Interacting with any type of coral plant, coral block, coral fan, sponge, or Anemone with Marine Snow will sometimes duplicate it and drop another item of itself. These blocks can only be interacted with Marine Snow if they are waterlogged or placed next to a source of water or waterlogged block.
Crafting ingredient
Marine Snow can be used to turn a Gazing Pearl into a regular Pearl.
