Chest loot
Forlorn Huts occasionally generating within the Forlorn Hollows have loot chests with an 18.0% chance to contain Guano.

Combat
Holding Guano and using it will throw it. There is no charging time or cooldown for firing them, meaning they can be thrown as fast as the player can click.
Similarly to other projectiles, they are affected by gravity. They are not thrown as far as snowballs or eggs, but are still thrown further than Cinder Bricks.
Much like eggs, Guano will not deal any damage to any specific entity whatsoever, it will only receive knockback and act the same as if it were being damaged.
When fighting the ender dragon, end crystals are able to be destroyed by Guano thrown at them.
Guano, like other projectiles, can be used to distract a warden. A warden walks towards the location where the guano lands, inspecting it, giving time for the player to escape. There are other projectiles that are better for this purpose however, due to their throwing range being shorter than some other projectiles.
Dispensers
Guano can be fired from dispensers at the same range as a snowball or egg.
