Cave Tablet

Cave Tablets are an item that can be obtained primarily by exploring and finding Underground Cabins, where they appear as loot within. They are invaluable to finding new rare cave biomes, and for gathering information about these biomes. Cave Tablets have a variant for each biome added by Alex's Caves, but the variant of a tablet is hidden until it is properly researched.

Regular Structures

Archeology

Primordial Caves tablets can occasionally be uncovered by using a brush on suspicious sand that generated in a Desert Pyramid or a Desert Well. There is a 15% chance of an item being uncovered being the primordial caves tablet.

Jungle Pyramid

One Toxic Caves tablet can spawn within loot chests of Jungle Pyramids, with a 50% chance.

Ocean Ruins

One Abyssal Chasm tablet can spawn within loot chests of Ocean Ruins or Buried Treasure, with a 40% chance.

Woodland Mansion

One Forlorn Hollows tablet can spawn within loot chests of Woodland Mansions with a 75% chance.

Bastion

One Magnetic Caves tablet can spawn within loot chests of Bastions in the nether with a 45% chance.

Witch Hut

One Candy Cavity tablet can spawn within a loot chest of Witch Huts with a 60% chance.

Underground Cabins

The easiest and most reliable way to obtain a decent number of Cave Tablets is by finding an underground cabin. All underground cabins contain one loot chest or barrel each, and usually contain 2-12 cave tablets pertaining to a single biome.

Magnetic Ruins

1-3 Magnetic Caves tablets have a 4.9% chance to be found in loot chests of Magnetic Ruins generating in the Magnetic Caves.

Caveman Houses

1-3 Primordial Caves tablets have a 3.6% chance to be found in loot chests of Caveman Houses generating in the Primordial Caves.

Toxic Ruins

1-3 Toxic Caves tablets have a 4.2% chance to be found in loot chests of Toxic Ruins generating in the Toxic Caves.

Abyssal Ruins

1-3 Abyssal Chasm tablets have a 4.5% chance to be found in loot chests of Abyssal Ruins generating in the Abyssal Chasm.

Forlorn Huts

1-3 Forlorn Hollows tablets have a 4.5% chance to be found in loot chests of Forlorn Huts generating in the Forlorn Hollows.

Licowitch Towers

Candy Cavity tablets have a chance to be found in loot chests of Licowitch Towers generating in the Candy Cavity.
