Natural generation

Very rarely, Uranium Rods can be found in loot barrels in Toxic Ruins.

Uranium Rods can be crafted using Uranium, Iron Ingots, and a Blaze Rod.

Usage

Unlike most other blocks or items crafted using Uranium, Uranium Rods do not Irradiate the player.

Uranium Rods emit a light level of 9 and can be placed on walls, floors, and ceilings, thus allowing players to utilize them as a weak light source.

Raygun reloading

Uranium Rods can be used to reload a depleted Raygun, completely replenishing the charge meter.
