Obtaining
Natural generation
Very rarely, Uranium Rods can be found in loot barrels in Toxic Ruins.
Crafting
Uranium Rods can be crafted using Uranium, Iron Ingots, and a Blaze Rod.

Uranium Rods are needed to craft Nuclear Bombs and Rayguns.

Fuel
Uranium Rods are used as fuel for Nuclear Furnaces, with one Rod smelting up to 60 items.
Lighting
Uranium Rods emit a light level of 9 and can be placed on walls, floors, and ceilings, thus allowing players to utilize them as a weak light source.
Particles
Placed Uranium Rods will create small green particles with a light green trail that orbit around them. If another Uranium Rod is placed near the first rod, the particles will fly between the two rods.
Raygun reloading
Uranium Rods are required to reload a depleted Raygun, which completely replenishes the charge meter.
Acid-logging
Uranium Rods are one of a handful of blocks that can be acid-logged.
