Subterranodon Egg
Subterranodon Eggs are a type of Dinosaur Egg that generate naturally in the Primordial Caves.
Obtaining
Natural generation
Clusters of 1-4 Subterranodon Eggs can be found in Subterranodon Roosts.
Breeding
Subterranodon Eggs can be obtained by breeding two tamed Subterranodons with Raw or Cooked Cod. Once bred, one of the Subterranodons will seek out dirt and begin digging at it, before laying a cluster of 1-4 Subterranodon Eggs and replacing the block under them with a Fern Thatch.
Subterranodon Eggs can be obtained one-by-one using any tool enchanted with Silk Touch. If trampled or broken without Silk Touch, they will drop nothing and anger any wild Subterranodons in the vicinity.
Usage
Hatching
When placed on top of blocks that aren't Amber, Amber Monoliths, or Ice, Subterranodon Eggs will crack every so often. After 8-10 days, or 4-5 days if the Eggs are on a Fern Thatch, they will hatch into 1-4 baby Subterranodons, depending on the size of the clutch. These baby Subterranodons will be tamed towards any player that is within ten blocks of the Eggs when they hatch.
Display
Subterranodon Eggs placed on top of Amber, Amber Monoliths, or Ice will never hatch.
