Stonecutting
Despite being metallic blocks, two Scrap Metal Plates can be created by placing a block of Scrap Metal in a Stonecutter.
This currently cannot be shown visually because we do not have a Stonecutter template on this wiki.

Scrap Metal Plates are used to craft the Magnetic Quarry.

Magnetism
Being magnetic blocks, Scrap Metal Plates are attracted to Scarlet Magnets and repulsed by Azure Magnets, and are prioritized for body-building by Magnetrons.
Rusting
Scrap Metal Plates turn into Rusty Scrap Metal Plates when exposed to Acid.
