Metal Swarf
Metal Swarf is a craftable gravity block typically found in the Magnetic Caves biome.
Obtaining
Natural generation
Metal Swarf naturally generates in blobs in the Magnetic Caves. It can also be found near Acid in the Toxic Caves, but is very hard to spot due to its very close resemblance to Mud.
Crafting
Metal Swarf can be crafted using Gravel, Raw Iron, and Ferrouslimeballs.

Usage
Unlike Gravel, Metal Swarf does not drop a different item if broken with a shovel enchanted with Fortune.
Amusement
Being a highly magnetic gravity block, Metal Swarf is prone to creating interesting physics interactions, whether by accident (e.g. some blocks of Metal Swarf fall near a spire of Raw Scarlet Neodymium) or on purpose (e.g. a block of Metal Swarf is placed above a Block of Azure Neodymium).
Smelting
Metal Swarf becomes Scrap Metal when smelted. Note that Scrap Metal currently does not have an icon.

Trivia
- "Swarf" is another word for the debris or filings generated when machining metal.
- Metal Swarf uses the same sounds as Gravel, although pitched down and with a noticeable echo.
