Obtaining
Natural generation
Metal Barrels naturally generate in Magnetic Ruins, Abyssal Ruins, and Toxic Ruins.
Crafting
Metal barrels are crafted from scrap metal and a barrel or iron ingots and a barrel. Please note that scrap metal and metal barrels currently do not have icons.

Usage
Metal Barrels can be used as storage, containing up to 27 stacks of items. It can also be used in nuclear furnaces to remove unrefined waste from them, and prevent a meltdown. This process also turns the metal barrel into a waste drum.
When it interacts with Acid, a metal barrel will become a rusty metal barrel.
